In a world increasingly shaped by automation and shortcuts, Real Art by Real People is a celebration of something profoundly human: creativity born from passion, emotion, and lived experience. This exhibition is about art made by human hands, dreamt up by real people, and brought to life through skill, intuition, and dedication.
Every piece in this exhibition has been created with intention. No replicas. No reproductions. Just original artworks, conceived and produced especially for this show. It is a reminder that art is not just an object on a wall, but a personal expression of thought, feeling, and identity.
Seven Artists. Seven Perspectives.
Real Art by Real People brings together seven artists, each presenting brand new work created exclusively for this exhibition. While their styles and approaches differ, they are united by a shared belief in the importance of making art by hand — art that carries the marks, decisions, and imperfections that make it unmistakably human.
This carefully curated collection offers visitors the opportunity to experience a diverse range of original artworks, each telling its own story and reflecting the passion of the artist behind it.
Meet the Artists
Anika De Souza creates work that is intuitive and emotionally led, using colour and form to explore personal experience and inner worlds. Her pieces invite quiet reflection, revealing layers of meaning the longer you spend with them.
Amanda Padfield is known for her thoughtful, process-driven approach to making art. Her work balances control and spontaneity, resulting in pieces that feel both carefully considered and deeply expressive.
Yharnna brings a bold, contemporary energy to her work, drawing on emotion, identity, and instinct. Her pieces are confident and unapologetic, celebrating self-expression and individuality.
Gill Storr creates work that feels grounded and reflective, often inspired by moments of stillness and observation. Her art has a calming presence, rewarding viewers with subtle detail and quiet strength.
Nigel Smith explores form, texture, and material through a hands-on, tactile approach. His work celebrates the physical act of making, where the artist’s hand is always visible and essential.
Paresh Nrshinger creates art rooted in personal narrative and cultural influence, blending technique with emotion. His work invites viewers to connect with story, memory, and meaning beyond the surface.
David Kirkman is known for his energetic, expressive style and love of mark-making. His work captures movement, spontaneity, and joy, reflecting a deep passion for painting and the creative process itself.
Join the Artists – Drinks Preview
The exhibition opens with a drinks preview on Friday 13th March, from 5–7pm. All seven artists will be present, offering a rare and valuable chance to hear directly from the creators themselves.
This is an opportunity to ask questions, gain insight into their creative processes, and understand why creating art is such an essential part of their lives. Hearing an artist speak about their work adds a powerful layer of connection — transforming each piece from something you admire into something you truly understand.
Exhibition Dates
Following the preview evening, the exhibition will continue until Saturday 14th March. Throughout the exhibition, all artworks will be available to purchase, making this a wonderful opportunity to acquire a truly original piece of contemporary art and support working artists directly.
At its heart, Real Art by Real People is about authenticity. It champions creativity that comes from curiosity, emotion, and dedication — art made slowly, thoughtfully, and with purpose. In celebrating real artists and original work, this exhibition invites viewers to reconnect with the human stories behind the art they love. We look forward to welcoming you to the gallery to experience art that is unapologetically real.
