Originally from the East Midlands, Jo has always been surrounded by creativity, growing up in a family with a strong artistic background. After studying art in Nottingham and later moving to London, she balanced her creative practice with work and travel, before settling in Sussex in 2003, where she established her own studio.

Inspired by the countryside and natural world, her work explores the beauty and atmosphere of the landscapes around her. Using acrylics and mixed media, she builds layers of depth and texture, often highlighting her paintings with touches of gold and silver. Colour is central to her process, guided by photographs she captures herself, which she reinterprets to create contemporary and sometimes ethereal compositions.

Her work continues to evolve, bringing a fresh and distinctive perspective to the natural world.
