A UK-born artist whose life has been shaped by spending half her time living in  London and the rest travelling around the world. Immersed in music and performance from an early age, her background as a musician plays a key role in her expressive and physical approach to art-making.

Her practice began nearly twenty years ago, inspired by a powerful image of entwined figures immersed in paint. Working without direct artistic influence, Tatia has developed a highly individual process in which the act of creation is inseparable from the finished work.

Beginning with a controlled, action-painting foundation, she then uses her own body as a tool of expression, imprinting emotion directly onto the canvas. Each piece is driven by instinct and feeling — from joy to anger to desire — translated through colour, movement, and texture. The result is a visceral body of work that blurs the boundaries between painting, performance, and mixed media, exploring the idea that we ourselves are living works of art.
