Full of Hollywood glamour, playful energy and timeless appeal, Marilyn – The Seven Year Itch by Gill Storr celebrates one of cinema's most enduring icons, Marilyn Monroe.

Capturing Marilyn's infectious laughter and unmistakable charm, Gill combines a striking portrait with layers of vintage typography, cultural references and expressive paint to create an artwork bursting with personality. Using her distinctive 'deconstructed lens' technique, Gill explores the stories behind her subjects, bringing together carefully researched imagery, newspaper clippings and references to their lives and careers. Here, fragments of Hollywood history emerge through a rich tapestry of warm reds, burnt oranges, soft blues and shimmering golden details. Inspired by Marilyn's celebrated film The Seven Year Itch, the composition perfectly captures the actress's playful spirit and magnetic screen presence. Bold, expressive brushwork contrasts beautifully with the delicate details of her face, while the textured background adds depth and a wonderful sense of nostalgia. The result is an artwork that feels both glamorous and contemporary, celebrating not just Marilyn's beauty but the charisma and cultural influence that made her a legend. A fabulous statement piece, Marilyn – The Seven Year Itch brings colour, character and a touch of Hollywood magic to any interior.
