Simon Wright captures one of those unmistakable moments at Royal Ascot: the horses, the crowds and the elegant theatre of the occasion. A racehorse and jockey pass close by while racegoers in traditional top hats study the action from the rail. Painted with Simon’s characteristic energy and confident brushwork, Watching the Runners beautifully conveys both the sporting excitement and unique atmosphere of a day at Ascot.
