Jo Boddy

Based in Ascot, Jo Boddy is a contemporary printmaker whose work explores our relationship with the landscape and the emotional connections we form with particular places.

Often found sketching in Swinley Forest and Chobham Common, Jo takes inspiration from the landscapes around her, creating original handmade prints that encourage us to pause, look more closely and consider the quiet power of the natural world. Her work reflects on the way places can hold memories, connect us with the past and influence how we think about the future.

Working across a range of printmaking techniques, including lino printing and lithography, Jo is fascinated by the making process itself. Each method brings its own rhythm and challenges, but all share that wonderful moment of anticipation when the paper is lifted to reveal the finished print.

Jo graduated from Central Saint Martins with an MA in Fine Art with Distinction in 2024. In 2025 she received the UAL/Clifford Chance Sculpture Award and presented her inaugural solo exhibition, Welcome, a print-based installation exploring history, land use and wealth. Her work is regularly exhibited and can be found in private collections in the UK and internationally.
