Fresh, uplifting and full of charm, In Bloom by Belinda Millar is a beautiful little celebration of flowers at their most colourful.

A lively gathering of pink, coral, violet and blue blooms spills from a simple glass vase, painted with Belinda's signature expressive brushwork and wonderfully generous layers of oil paint. Each flower is created with confident, sculptural strokes, giving the arrangement a rich texture and a lovely sense of movement. The warm, sandy background provides a gentle contrast to the vibrant flowers, while unexpected flashes of fluorescent pink add a playful contemporary edge. Strong, expressive shadows bring depth to the composition, giving this intimate still life a surprising sense of presence. There is something wonderfully spontaneous about In Bloom. It captures the pleasure of a freshly picked bunch of flowers, full of colour, character and natural beauty. An original painting with an abundance of personality, In Bloom is a little piece of happiness, perfect for brightening a favourite space or giving as a thoughtful gift.
