Sharon Withers
Sharon Withers is an abstract landscape artist celebrated for her large-scale oil paintings and striking triptychs. Working from her studio in Hampshire, she draws inspiration from the shapes, patterns, and textures found in nature — not just for their visual impact, but for their symbolic and emotional resonance.
Her work is layered with meaning, both literally and metaphorically. Built through a process of accumulation, disruption, and refinement, Sharon’s paintings reveal the residues of past marks — each one an echo of a moment, a disturbance, or a memory. Through texture and colour, she invites the viewer to look beyond the surface and reflect on the quiet power of the natural world.
Sharon studied at The Slade School of Fine Art, where she was mentored by Turner Prize winner Jenny Saville, who encouraged her to push the boundaries of her unique style. This influence can be seen in the dynamism of Sharon’s compositions, which balance control and spontaneity in equal measure.
Now an established artist with international collectors and regular exhibitions across the UK, Sharon also takes on bespoke commissions, creating impactful pieces for both private and corporate spaces.
